Get your supplies ready

”Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, prepare provision for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.” Joshua 1:10-11, is an exhortation to the people at his time, it’s ours as well. It is time to get our supplies ready for the habitation of God.

We read in Matthew 25: 1-13, “ Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps”.

The parable of the ten virgins, of which the five Virgins got their oil supplies ready. We know what happened to the other five’s that failed to get their supplies of oil ready, basically, they missed our Lord visitation.

What are the gifts (supplies) God has given to you (us) that must be prepared?...

  • Perhaps they are gifts (supplies) that have been given to you that must be prepared.

  • Perhaps they are gifts (supplies) that you had lied dormant.

  • It could be a ministry that God has called you to, but fear has kept you from functioning.

  • Maybe it is something you must lay down in order to be properly prepared or operational, such as, an habits, addictions, fears, attitudes, etc.

What will it requires ?

It will requires your…

  • Preparation...Nothing happen overnight and it does not happen without work be done. Preparation is essential to purposeful development.

  • Heart and Mind…For something to happen, we must first get our hearts and mind ready before we work on our action. Internal preparation comes before external.

  • Vision…Have you prepare your vision for the future, in order words, have you got a vision, what is your dream? What are you working towards… your goals.

  • Resources…You need to make provision or preparation for resources.

  • Anticipation…Do you expect God to show up? Anticipation sets the stage for God’s coming. We must always expect Him to show up, if we do not, then He won’t. But when our anticipation is high and we come with heart full of expectation, we will experience His presence. Remember, what you anticipate, you’ll prepare for. God wants us to be ready at His coming, “Get Ready” make necessary preparation, so He may meet you in a good posture, ready posture to receive Him and everything He will bring.
